The 14th International Workshop on Combinatorial Testing (IWCT 2025), held alongside the International Conference on Software Testing (ICST 2025), is a premier venue for researchers and practitioners exploring advancements in combinatorial testing (CT).
Combinatorial Testing (CT), also known as Combinatorial Interaction Testing (CIT), is a proven methodology for software verification and validation. IWCT 2025 aims to address existing challenges and extend CT applications beyond software testing into fields such as:
- AI/ML-based systems, cybersecurity, and cloud computing
- Biotechnology, mechanical engineering, and manufacturing
- Quantum computing, finance, and disaster management
The workshop will explore:
- Higher-strength combinatorial testing (t-way for t > 2) for complex failure detection
- Constraint handling in test plans
- Improved modeling tools and automation
- Bridging generated test plans with executable tests
- Empirical evaluations comparing CT with other methodologies
We invite submissions of high-quality research and industry experience reports on theoretical and practical aspects of CT, including:
- Modeling test input spaces and handling constraints
- Implementation and automation of CT workflows
- Empirical studies and feedback from real-world applications
- CT applications in security, AI/ML, cloud computing, and software product lines
- Combinatorial analysis of existing test plans and test plan optimization
- Comparison of CT with other dynamic verification methods
Submissions must conform to IEEE conference proceedings guidelines. Accepted papers will be included in the IWCT 2025 proceedings, and selected top papers will be invited for extended versions in SN Computer Science.
